We work with a landlord who transferred a portfolio of 30 high street properties into his pension fund when his retail business closed many years ago.
An independent fast food operator ceased trading suddenly in his property in Reading town centre, leaving it full of chip fryers and other catering equipment. A new tenant was keen to sign a lease on the property but was unfamiliar with UK planning regulations and unsure how to progress. We surveyed the property and looked at their proposed design on behalf of our client. Noting that they needed a change of use, from A1 to A5, we applied for this. The new scheme also needed listed building consent which we secured.
