Dilapidations for a high street landlord

the landlord asked us to act for him in the dilapidations process

We work with a landlord who transferred a portfolio of 30 high street properties into his pension fund when his retail business closed many years ago.

When a travel agent tenant chose not to renew their lease in one of his properties the landlord asked us to act for him in the dilapidations process. We carried out a detailed survey of the property and created a Schedule of Dilapidations, costing out the work that needed to be done. The work came to around £40k. The client asked us to negotiate with the travel agent and we were able to successfully obtain that sum from them.

Our comprehensive service enabled our client to cover his costs in reinstating the property before successfully leasing it to a new tenant.
